As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible experience for our members, the Fullerton Family YMCA will undergo renovations starting in May 2025. These upgrades and improvements will bolster our current foundation and will enhance our facility and ensure it remains a welcoming space for fitness, connection, and community for years to come. We understand that this renovation may bring temporary changes and inconvenience, we appreciate your patience and support as we build a better Y – together!

What to Expect?

  • Construction is slated to begin on May 19.
  • The facility will maintain its regular operating hours during construction.
  • If any construction schedules, closures, or time changes are needed, we will communicate them to you.
  • The estimated length of construction is 10-12 months.
  • While construction is underway, fitness equipment and select group exercise classes will be relocated to air-conditioned tents outside along with other tents for free weights, cardio, strength machines, and youth classes.
  • The pool, basketball gym, KidZone, and other select indoor areas will remain open.

 

Parking availability may be impacted; however, we will have the following alternatives:

  • Valet will continue to be available during select hours
  • Pre-K Lot is available after 12PM weekdays and on all day on weekends

Our members’ safety is always our top priority. Construction is required at this time due to important foundational issues within the current building.

Construction Questions

Construction is slated to begin on May 19, 2025 and last 10-12 months.

No. We are working diligently to keep the YMCA open for the duration of the project. Any closures will only be as needed and will be communicated.

  • Yes. Construction vehicles and equipment may have a minor impact on traffic flow and available parking in the parking lot.
  • Valet will continue to be available during select hours to meet high parking demand
  • Pre-K Lot is available after 12PM and on weekends

Membership Questions

  • All fitness equipment will be moved outdoors
  • Select Group Exercise classes that we are not able to move into the Basketball Gym due to scheduling conflicts will be relocated to a rubber area outside.
  • Birthday Parties will be offered outside KidZone and in the rubber area.

Yes! The pool will remain open. All of the following indoor areas will remain open at this time:

Lobby | Basketball Gym | KidZone | Indoor Women’s Locker Room

No. All operation hours will remain the same through the duration of the project.

Membership costs will not change as a direct result of the renovation project. Fees may increase due to annual fee schedule changes

  • Yes! With no rejoining fee on return.
  • Holds will be accepted at any point when the project begins and will be honored 30 days after re-opening.

Seating will be available by the Soccer Arena for members to gather and socialize outdoors. Coffee service will be offered every Monday.
